Welcome to House.ProtoWrxs.com!- The Nolen's online house. Online since January 1999, we are currently working on getting all the features working in the New House since August 2000. To see the current configuration, see the FULL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION. See the About Area for a quick overview.

What Can It Do? - Go ahead, browse around the options above and see how it all works. Most items have some functionality at this point. For most areas, there are controls that are active. Only certain items can be viewed and even fewer items controlled unless you are authorized to do so, but you can see the general idea.

Why? - That is usually the next question and I do NOT have an answer. I have had a Home Automation system for some time and have been developing web pages for some time so... they just kind of of came together. So "Why Not?" Of course now there are much easier options such a HomeSeer and others.

Security - Obviously security is of a primary concern when doing a project like this. Several steps have been taken to insure that information that should remain private does remain so. Several areas provide bogus information to the general public and can only be controlled and/or reviewed if an authorized person is viewing the page. This is controlled through several layers of passwords and usernames but I'm sure it's not unbreakable. I'll be adding more levels as more information and controls are setup. Every visitor has the date, time, and IP tracked so if I see activity that is different I'll take the measures needed.
